Pignoletto ist Bolognas prominenteste lokale Rebsorte und liefert meist herrlich frische, prickelnde Weißweine. Weniger bekannt ist, dass die Varietät auch lagerfähige Weißweine hervorbringen kann, und einer der namhaftesten ist der »Vigna del Grotto« von einer Einzellage mit alten Reben. Sie ist der Stolz des 2005 von Federico Orsi und seiner Frau Carola gegründeten biodynamischen Weingutes Vigneto San Vito in den Colli Bolognesi, an den nördlichen Ausläufern des Apennin.
Eine einmalige und nicht wiederholbare Probe, da einige Jahrgänge selbst auf dem Weingut nicht mehr verfügbar sind. Zum Start kommt natülich Federico Orsis unwiderstehlicher PetNat Pignoletto Hefe-Frizzante in die Gläser, und für das leibliche Wohl sorgt ein reichhaltiges italienisches Buffet mit Käse, Salumi, eingelegtem Gemüse, Oliven, Brot, Mineralwasser und mehr.

Pignoletto is Bologna’s famous local grape variety, mostly known and loved for fresh, crispy sparkling wines. But there is another side of Pignoletto. The variety is also able to produce age worthing white wines. One of the most renowed one is the single vineyard cru »Vigna del Grotto« from Vigneto San Vito of Federico Orsi and his wife Carola.
Their estate, founded in 2005 on the northern slopes of the Apennine mountains, has become one of the leading natural wine producers of the area of Bologna, the capital of the region Emilia-Romagna. Their treasure is the steep vineyard »Vigna del Grotto« with old vines.
During this unique tasting we will open 7 different vintages of this amazing Pignoletto cru: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2011, 2010 and 2009. Surely not before having taken a good nip of Federico Orsi’s thrilling PetNat Pignoletto Frizzante sui lieviti! The tasting includes a rich Italien buffet with cheese, salumi (cold cuts), olives, pickeld vegetables, patés (also vegan and vegetarian), bread, mineral water and more.
